Normally this is where the warbird steps in and gives us a lesson.
This is a strange turn of events.:)

I'm a busy shaft ho!!! I just like to know all the quirks about different shafts. I'm looking for one for my next project and this looked good.

Aldila VS Proto 70. You will need one in stiff flex. If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. :D

Worth a shot Warbird, on the Harrison and Aldila, I wouldn't mind trying one if you didn't like it.

The Aldila is $175. I won't be buying that until I get a swing that will make some use out of it. (I'm going to be doing some things this winter to try to get my club head to close on a faster swing). Under $100 I'll try.

How much is it? I like the looks and low torque on the 75and85g shafts. That 105 would make a nice 3wood shaft.

WBL - my friend for whom I caddied played a Harrison Striper Tour shaft forever and loved it, I hit it a few times and like it but could not get as much loft as he did. I think Harrison makes a good shaft.
I mentioned that Stulz shaft after the tournament in Colorado. This kid from Texas was killing the ball and said he felt he could swing as hard as he wanted and it was always up to the challenge. He did too, a few times he slipped a little he swung so hard (it was raining lightly). He wasn't a hack either, he took 5th in the championship flight. I don't think you could go wrong with the Stulz shaft. I might add that he was about 6' 4" and 230 lbs. I regularly paced his drives around 320 and some around 350.

WBL,
We had a few of the tour guys try that shaft and didn't like it. They all thought it played soft.
These are tour guys, I did not hit one, so they may not feel soft for us regular guys.

Talk about coincidences ... I was gonna post this elsewhere. One of the guys I play with got custom fitted yesterday. Went in with an open mind as to driver/shaft combo. So as the fitting and analysis progressed and they had it pared down to a couple of combos, the fitter handed my buddy a driver used by Niclas Fasth - EuroTour player from Sweden. According to him anyways it returned the best performance of the day for him.

And the combo was T.E Exotics 8* with Harrison Mugen shaft... whittled down to 44" with a 2 degree offset. So I'm choking here as to whether to part with some of my hard earned and replace the Aldila65 in my T.E for a custom fit Mugen. I'm sure the moment will pass if I leave it long enough ...
