Well, with the lack of golf courses being open because WBL cursed me by bringing up snowthrowers, I had to move on to winter Hoedom. I was looking at tablets for the last couple weeks, and was getting disgusted that I couldn't find any coupon codes for Toshiba. Which is what I wanted. Found out today if you order over the phone and pay with AMEX or VISA they will give you 11% off. Pretty convenient since I was planning on paying with AMEX anyways.

Seeing as how my Destop replacement is 4 years old 3.4 GHz P4, and checking all the specs and benchmarks, this will actually be able to replace my current PC since I do most of my gaming on the XBOX 360. Actually even though the GPU doesn't have dedicated memory in an effort to increase the battery life, it benches at over 1700 where as my current Mobility 9700 only goes to 280. Since my current one will play everything less than Crysis, I should be in good shape. Even if it doesn't, no big deal. Although I will be getting a 19-20" widescreen monitor. The added Turbo Memory may be a mistake initially, but I think it will come around in the long run and help with the battery life.

Now I will be able to browse ST with one hand and control my TIVO with the other. :D

May as well ask on here. Anyone out there that does any kind of Photoshop work have a 19-20" widescreen around 8" or less in depth (Give or take) that they would recommend. Not wanting to break the bank and want to stay in roughly the $300 range give or take. Nothing really on the professional level like the LaCie or even as much as a Samsung 214T.

Main preferences in this order is want something that will do photo work, 2nd would likely be video playback, and not much gaming but will want to stay under 8ms as I may rig my xbox up to it in time and while I am not real picky I want to avoid Ghosting. Was kinda leaning towards Samsung, but considering Viewsonic, Dell and Multisync as well. Any suggestions or other recommendations??? Also like the looks of the Viewsonic VP930, but the latency right at 8ms concerns me and I am really leaning towards widescreen.

Gamma settings and and even White point is not my biggest concern because I do have a Colorvision Spyder Pro to calibrate the monitor, and also have a Sony Trinitron CRT upstairs to verify any final results.
