Any one here in the coveted hole-in-one club? I had my mine about 1983 on a 150 yard par 3 about 7:30 AM on a Saturday morning. The ball landed at least 25 feet from the hole and went in with out touchng the pin. Nice thing about it was that I had seven witnesses, 3 in my foursome and the guys standing on the green that waved us on. :D

Mine was from nearly 3 years ago on a local pitch and putt...80 yard hole, pin close to the front of a postage stamp green, one bounce off the fringe, brief roll, trickled right in.

2 witnesses and the ball is now in a trophy box with the scorecard (a Christmas present from my gf this past year).

Next one will be on a full course, preferably a 200 yard hole :)

I looked at the picture before I read your post and was thinking, "man, that looks like a Titleist from the early 80's," and then I read it was in 1983. Nice shot!

Is that the Hickory Hills in Methuen, Massachusetts?

It's actually the Hickory Hills Golf Club in Hickory Hills, IL, in southwest suburban Chicago. The course is still there, but the owners are more interested in banquet business for weddings these days than a quality golf course. I guessing it will be converted to home sites in the future.

Sept 2, 2000, Pasatiempo Golf Club, Santa Cruz, CA, 18th hole, 178 yards, 5 iron over the flag, rolled back down in the cup. That's the good news. Bad news is I shot a 95!

About 5 years ago on a 159 yard par 3 with a 9 iron. It's a big drop in elevation from the tee to the green, so we got to watch the whole thing and it made it take that much longer. It was a great hole to have a first hole-in-one on.

I had my second in an annual company tournament (pretty cool). I hit a PW to a front pin. The green was actually above the tee, so we couldn't see it go in. We ended up in a tie for 2nd and drew our hole-in-one in the playoff drawing!

That looks like my cell phone. I have a Motorola V710. I use it to access my golf Web site to keep score, look at my stats, etc. while on the course. It really is a great phone and the cameras will get better in later generation phones. I also use the browser a little...not bad. One time, I called someone!

#3 at local course River Oaks here two summers ago. Playing by myself I came up on an elderly couple who waved me onto the green. I knocked my 9i in from about 175 (tail wind). Fortunately they were there to be witnesses.

ive been thinking, did you start to do fist pumps and get exited once you took the ball out of the hole, I always imagined that would look stupid, i want to see my first hole in one

I have two.

First was a downhill par three, about 157. Played a perfect shot that had just enough roll to get there.

The second was last summer. Shorter par 3, no wind. And pitch black dark. I went to the green, saw the ball mark, ball in the cup.

It's really hard to see a hole in one from the tee. You need a short hole for starters, and it usually has to be below the tee also for the best view

I was standing on a green and saw a guy have his ball mark slam the side of the cup and bounce way over the green. He and his buddies were fisting pumping and high fiving. Keep in mind these guys were total dicks.

I walked the 90 feet back behind the green and pointed out his ball, making it known to everyone around that his ball wasn't in the hole, but 90 feet behind the green.

The fist pumping stopped at once.

"I am so good. Wait, no i'm not." ;)
