Hi all, i'm new here. I have a video of my swing, and heard that this is a good place to have it looked at. Trouble is, i have no clue how to link you to a video. I have it on my computer, but i don't know how to get it so you can see it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Neal

To attach a file to a new post, simply click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the post composition page, and locate the file that you want to attach from your local hard drive.

Only certain types of files may be attached: these are the valid file extensions for files to be attached to this forum: avi bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg mov pdf png psd qt txt zip.

After posting, the attachment will show up in the body of your message. To view the contents of the attachment (if it is not already displayed) simply click the filename link that appears next to the attachment icon .

Neal,

You'll need to convert the file from Quicktime to one of the supported formats. But, as far as I know, QT is supported here (see Bold above).

If you run into problems, just send Slingblade a PM. He can work things out for you one way or another.

Cheers!

yeah, i saw that quicktime was supported, and i didn't know how to change it, so i thought i'd be set, but when i tried to upload it it gave me this message:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the Shot Talk database.

Welcome aboard NSherman! :)

Check the extention (right click/ properties) If it is qt then you will need to convert it to .mov

Compress the size if you can too. I have a large allotment set aside for .mov files and practically nothing for .qt This may be why you cannot upload the file.

Converting should be fairly easy. open the file go to file/save as /select .mov and save. Then try your upload again.

there is no option for save as under the file menu in quicktime....or at least my version. Any other way to convert it? Thanks. Neal

.mov files MUST be less than 5mb.

That could possibly be the source of the error message.

it's 4.13 mb, but it's a quicktime file. Do you know of any other way to convert it? Thanks

I have Sony Vegas 5, a very pricey video editor that will even convert your girlfriend. ;)

At least I have a girlfriend instead of a Sony Vega 5. There's nothing worse than waking up after a hard night with a Sony Vega 5 in the bed beside you! ;)
