I am posting this for anyone living in southwestern Ontario (I can't be the only one on Shot Talk in this area) The golf store I deal at has a big spring sale every year.

This is a HUGE SALE boys and girls. Runs from March 1 to March 6. Now I don't work for this guy so I am not posting an ad for my store.
This dealer buys in bulk for this sale. He might buy 100 bags, 200 pairs of shoes etc etc and then brings them to the sale. Golf gloves by the cases, hats and clothing.

It is held in St Thomas, ON and if you message me I can give you the address.
So if you live within an hour or so drive of St Thomas don't miss this sale. I go every day of it to see what is new on the floor.

And Sling if you are not comfortable with this post feel free to delete it, if it violates your rules If it is ok I will edit it and put in the address of the sale

That sounds like the sale Golfsmith has every year in Austin at their headquarters. They put up a big tent outside and fill it with discounted shoes and equipment.

Last year they were selling the nike hybrids for $69.00 bucks. Same kind of pricing on drivers, irons and shoes. My favorite part is they have over 20 vendors take part in a demo day on the range. Fun stuff.

TOO COLD FOR A TENT SALE!

That Golfmsith sale sounds great. You can demo equipment then go buy it.
However the one I go to is inside, too cold for a tent sale! But it is big, they will have all leather Nike shoes for $59, reg $159. Tons of used drivers, fairway woods, irons. New stuff with prices slashed.
One guy I golf with goes every year and buys 10 all leather gloves at $8 each and he is good for the year.
Nice thing about this sale is they bring in more stuff each day for the first 5 days. So you have to keep going back to see what is new. Good thing I am on afternoon shift that week!
Last year this retailer bought 2000 gloves for this sale, 100 bags. So you see the magnitude of this sale. It's a biggie!

You should have a blast going back five days in a row. I'm the same way when it comes to stocking up. If it's a good deal I'll buy a supply. Have fun.

I need some shoes. Nike Air Comforts, size 10. Black and white perferred. I'd like the Gore Tex model as well.

If you see any of those for cheap, let me know. Dave, if it's you, you need to wear the shoes for a couple days and get them dirty. Then, send them to me with the customs forms reading "used shoes". Value:10 dollars.

I know a guy who got something shipped up that he won on ebay with a note saying "Thanks for letting me borrow your books, they were a big help!"

or there was another time, the guy's brother got a jacket sent up with a note saying

"you forgot your jacket when you were visiting, here you go!"

Easy as pie!

I will go out to the store next week (Laid off again, seems all the old people who buy the cars I help build are dying off)
I'll ask them if those Nike's are air Comfort. They were good looking shoes, padding around the collar and the collar was leather not cloth. The owner told me they were waterproof and I am sure he said they had Goretex lining. So let me ask. For $68 tax in you would come out ahead even paying my shipping costs (unlike ebay sellers I won't charge $20 US to ship!) So if you are serious Rock let me know, I will check this out for you. No customs since I am in Ontario.

Check into it for me, Bum. New shoes are always on the top of my list.

As long as they are leather and Gore, i would be interested.

Thanks for the legwork,

IT IS AN EVENT!

Well I have been to the BIG GOLF SALE twice now, and it is an event! First day I bought 3 TaylorMade Hats @ $12.95 each, one Titleist fitted hat @$13.95, normally these hats sell for $22 Cnd.
Also bought a slightly used TM RAC black 52 degree wedge for $44.
Clubs were flying out the door there the first day. Friend of mine bought a new set of Tommy Armour 845 Silver Scotts for $251 taxes in.
Another buddy of mine stocked up on his yearly supply of gloves for $8 each. All leather.
Went back today, found a like new Vokey 56 for $44 taxes in.
By the end of this sale there will likely be over 4500 buyers go through the doors. Now that's a SALE!

Canadian To US Funds

Ok both of those wedges would have been $36.15 US each
The 3 TaylorMade hats would have been $36.04 US
Now there was Nike Leather shoes @ $59 Cnd so that would be $48 US before taxes.
Titleist Stand Bags were $119 Cnd or $95 US

This retailer is one of the biggest in this area. This is the 6th year for this annual sale and it really a huge sales event in south western Ontario. People drive 2-3 hours to come to this sale. Last year on the first day of the sale 1000 customers went through the doors! They hold it in a hall as there is not enough space at the store. Truck all the clubs to the off site location.

You have to see his store to believe this. It is small but there is so much golf equipment jammed in there that the sales personal does not know where some of it is located, especially the used stuff. They have asked me to help customers in the store because I am there so often and know where to look for the used stuff! They are one of TaylorMade's top retailers in Canada. Carry most major brands of clubs etc. Driving range for doing your demo tests, CPGA Pro working there. Club repairs on site and off site. I might get involved refinishing metal woods for them, trade ins that need repainting.

If you are ever in this area of south west Ontario, be sure to visit this golf store. I can email you directions if you are travelling through the area.
