is 46* then what wedge setup would you guys recommend?

I play a wide variety of courses ranging from very soft in the spring to very lush in the summer. I had been playing a 51*, 56* and 60*. But am now thinking maybe about dropping the 60* as my wedge play has not been great.

I hit my PW great and about 120yds. My SW-56* goes roughly 90-so you see my need for a gap wedge. Was thinking along the lines of 52/58* or maybe just a 52-56 and calling it a day.

I don't know-so I turn to you all- suggestions?

Totally personal choice.

I play 50*, 56* and 60*. I rarely use my 60* tho.

I would play a 53* and a 58* if I went to two wedges.

But then again, i don't play a "true" PW either. 3-9 only.

My set-up isn't much off Rock's recommendation.

I play 4-9 standard lofts, a gap wedge bent 2* strong to 48*, and then a 54 and 58. I find these three wedges facilitate every shot around the green and allow me to carry the right wood/hybrid/long iron combo for my game.

If you don't have a true PW, what loft is your 9i? The problem I am having is that my PW is 46, if I go 52 that seem like a big gap. If I go 50 then 56 i have a big gap as well....

My current set up is PW 46*, 50*, 54*, 58*. Nice even 4* spread through the wedges.

My previous set up was PW 47*, 52*, 58*. That set up works well if you want to carry more clubs in the upper end of the bag. Since I canned the 3W/5W for a 4W, I have gone back to the 4 wedge system.

My 9 is 43*.

I have a 7* gap between my 9 and my "PW", but I never swing full with any of my wedges anyway. If I'm 130 out, i'll hit a knockdown 9. No issues whatsoever. I've found that swinging less than 3/4 with all my wedges increases my accuracy 10-fold.

I'll take a 75 yard 56* to 6 feet over a full 60* to 15 feet any day.

my 9i is 46* and PW is 50* i have 54* and 60* wedge.

i don't take full swing w/ my 60* ever, and my 54*, PW*, and 9i distances are 100-110, 120-130 and 135-145yds respectively. my 60* goes about 80yds, but i'll usually pitch everything w/ my 54* 100yd and in.

my pw is 45 and go from that 51, 56, 60 when I was carrying just two wedges I was 51 and 57 to keep the gap......but I didn't like the 57 I was playing and went back to a 56. now when I carry two wedges I drop the 56 and go 51, 60. I think it is all preference and not necessarily yardages that you can hit a wedge. I hit my pw about 125-130 but only hit the 51 about 100-105 as that is all I am comfortable with. I hit all shots from 100 in with the 51 and use the 60 in traps and around the green for lob shots.....serves the same purpose I would use the 56 for with less bounce. If I need the bounce for "sandy" traps at the beach or something I just stick the 56 in the bag.

My PW is 45º, GW is 50º, picked up a 53º & usually will carry the 56º SW, also have an F2 60º but not going to carry 5 wedges, my bag would weigh too much with 21 clubs in it:p

I had my PW delofted to a strong 46*, about 45.5*. I go 50*, then the 56* SW has been delofted to 55* and just added a 60*. I swear I could jump right from 50 to 60 if I wanted to though. If I switch irons and go with a 47* PW I'd probably go 54* SW delofted to 53* and a 58 bent to 59*.
