Oh crap, I have a giant blister on my left forefinger, on the proximal pad, right where the club lies. And I'm supposed to play a round tomorrow. :(

I removed the fluid with a sterile needle. Should I wrap it with moleskin, bandaid? If I put too much of a bandage on, I won't be able to get my glove on.

Help!

if there is a bowling alley near you go there and get a bottle of tough skin.it will burn like hell when you put it on but you wont need a bandaid.

Try the moleskin...it has a good chance of working...

(BTW you are holding the club way too hard if you have blisters...)

I put some moleskin on it under my glove and went to the range. Never hit the ball better. :) I may keep the blister.

Wow on the glove hand. I get a blister every know and then on the known glove hand where the glove rubs it. I put moleskin on that finger just to be safe now.

I just got back from playing 9 with my hacker partner. We had only planned on playing 9 because he just had toe surgery, but we would have had to quit after 9 anyway. It's too damn hot!

We teed off at 8:30 and finished at 10:30; the temp was already 91F, 60% humidity, no breeze, and a heat index of 101F !! The high today is supposed to be 99F with a heat index of 110F. I'm done wih golf until late September.

Oh, and I sucked. Hit a few good shots after I didn't give a crap anymore. I now know I need to work on my bunker shots and putting.

Bunker shots are difficult because you generally don't ever practice them. The idea is usually to NOT GET IN the bunker, not to get in then hit a good shot out. I got lucky today with just that.

My blisters are all healed up. :)

Now I have this pain in the left side of my ribcage. I think it's a strained intercostal muscle, as it starts hurting when I start hitting full shots with the longer clubs.

I know I should just quit hitting full shots for about 2 weeks, and just concentrate on chipping and putting, but that's hard to do. I'm addicted to the range.

Don't feel too bad. I just read that Vijay was having to withdrawl this week because he hurt his back playing ping pong with his son.

How do you hurt your back playing ping pong? Oh wait, I hurt mine once giving the dog a bath. :p

VJ's age is starting to creep up on him. He may have to only practice 6 hours a day instead of 10 hours.

I hope he doesn't stay injured for next week - he's the star attraction and defending at the Bell Canadian Open (which I'm going to).

One thing or another hehe...

I didn't think I would be able to play very well yesterday because my neck was hurting while I was hitting balls at the range, but it was okay during the 9 hole round right after. nanananaaa
