I've been lucky enough to golf quite a bit this summer and I feel like my game is really coming together. Just about everytime I put a score into my handicap calculator my handicap drops a little bit. I took a lesson, got some pretty big swing changes and I'm starting to grove those in.

Then last night during volleyball league I stepped on a roofing nail sticking through a board at the edge of the court. :wow: Walking the course won't be an option for a while. Then to top that off I went in to get a tetanus shot today and my left arm is as stiff as a board.

Ug. Worst case, I'm probably off a week, but during a short Wisconsin summer, that's a lifetime.

Maybe I'll spend a week working on my putting or something.

Read a good book or two.

"The Greatest Game Ever Played" by Mark Frost. One of the best books I've read, of any genre.

"A Season in Dornoch" by Lorne Rubenstein, not as dramatic a read, but pretty good.

Then of course there are the numerous instruction books you can get. But, personally, I found that those two books fired my enthusiasm for the game quite dramatically at a time I was losing a bit of interest. You won't learn much about how to play in them, but they'll give you enthusiasm.

Get well soon!
