I'm running Windows 2000 Pro on my laptop, and recently i've run into a bit of a problem. When I try and log in to view my e-mail, it comes back telling me that my browser isn't set up enabling cookies.

Well, this is horseshit, cuz it is.

I can still log onto MSN Messenger and retrieve them that way, and when I first turn on the computer, it's no biggie. But when I try to log in again (I don't have my password saved on this computer, as it's a "public domain", meaning the wife....) it gives me this BS about not having cookies enabled in my browser.

Piece of shit Microsoft. I bet it's some lame security patch that they'll have to issue a patch to fix. I've gone through just about every avenue with their online help, even requested a fix for my problem (i'll hear back in January).

Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions, i'd be happy to entertain them.

Thanks, Nerd. ;)

It works fine with Firefox, but i'm more determined to figure this IE thing out. Call me a perfectionist... :p

Note: It works about every 4 or 5 times logging in. Now i'm super lost. I'm thinking it's not on my end....

Perfectionist!?
You are a guy who likes to hit himself in the head with a hammer because it feels so good when you stop, huh?

Sorry rock, I can't help you if you won't let me. :p

Oh, it's Hammertime, Sling. ;)

Spank,

Thanks for the info. I'm way ahead of you on the settings. I've actually gone so far as to restructure my registry and start a new cookie collection from scratch, but to no avail. Funny how the same cookie (copied from IE6) works in Firefox.

Total garbage. Shit like this always happens in MS stuff.

Whatever. If it generates less traffic on their sites, they'll figure it out sooner or later. I mean, you can't monopolize everyone without breaking a few eggs, right? :)

Thanks again Spank.
