finally got out to the range today, only had time for a smaller bucket but it was a no brainer to go with the supersteels, the TA1s felt like crap and didn't go where they were supposed to on pured shots with my best swings whereas the supersteels were all over the flag the whole time, they were so good in fact that the RAC lt's will have to wait several seasons. the supersteels are here to stay!!!! :smilie_tm

the money i was gonna use on the RAC LT's will go to help my fairway wood reshafting/replacing spree, the TA1s also have to go so that i'm not tempted to change irons again if the supersteels go south for a spell

any leftover $ goes to buying some kickass rain gear

its seriously about time, i hate being indecisive.....

Never mind

my word isn't worth anything, i have no commitment

went to dicks sporting goods the RAC lt's dropped to $400 bucks as opposed to 550, i tried them and fell in love without even hitting one off the screws, all the shots were off the heel and they still felt fantastic, these come in the DG shafts which wasn't what i originally wanted but they felt great so i'm going for them, i trade in the TA1's, my cousin offered to buy the supersteels off of me along with an old bag, some cheap woods and 50 balls for $150, which i figured to be great after being told i would get $90 for them in the store. do all that and i'll still have the cash to get my V-steel reshafted and buy the short sleeve nike rain shirt i've wanted

PERFECT

why fix what isn't broken..... you don't, thats why i've elected to NOT buy the lt's, and keep my supersteels i swear these things are going to the grave with me, meanwhile the money goes to rain gear and a wood overhaul,

which could include

maybe another burner 420 if i can find one and get custom fit for both
custom fitting for my 3 wood and reshafting
new 5 wood, custom fit

so shall it be said, so shall it be done

sorry guys, no iron hoing for me for a long time, unless i go Neal's way and start buying duplicates, which could start with the driver and end up who knows where.....

i won't argue that, its true, but i made a bet with myself that i could win state using the supersteels, and i plan to win that bet, i had a very strong premonition about it too, freakish things in my future

if it comes true, i would hope i would have a choice of almost any college, and if that happens i plan on going to Mississippi State

weird night

Well after reading your thoughts and reviews online i picked myself up a set of Supersteels clubs for 89$ 3-sw graphite shafts.

I had some taylor made burner's graphites loved them but sold them off thinking they were old and i could get better clubs. Big mistake I went with ping Zing clones and still kicking myself in the butt for it.

I bought a Burner 420, I just thought it was funny. Turns out its 405cc, so perhaps some taylormade guys thought it was funny too. It didn't compete with my Launcher, but I get a chukle when I look at it.

yeah it took me a couple weeks of research to find out how big the burner 420 really was,

also being a science guy.... did a displacement experiment just to make sure.....more like 404.54 cc's.... sheesh

i tried the launcher in store once and liked it, but it didn't exceed my burner so i didn't bother going for one

Well, thats one way to find out. I looked at some website, probably Taylormades, saw it wasn't 420cc and I knew it was meant to be with me.

Thread resurrection begin!

Youngun5,

Well, when searching, I came upon this thread... as a Supersteel (previously) player, maybe you'd be the best person to answer my question.

I'm currently using Supersteel irons, but even though they're 'good enough', I'm not entirely satisfied with the feel. I've been looking at the RAC HT's, since I'm a high handicapper (well, I'm actually so new I don't even have a handicap yet), but unfortunately nobody locally carries this club so i can't test it out before purchase.

How would you compare the feel between the two club models? I know you tested the LT's, but I imagine that the feel wouldn't be much different than the HT's, other than the HT's having a bit more weight in the sole and somewhat higher lofts (?).

Thanks for any input you can provide.

haha, this thread lost all meaning about 5 weeks ago when i ended up going with these tight lies irons. oh well.

the Lt's didn't feel like there was even a ball there when you hit the ball in the center, but if you missed you instantly knew it.

supersteels offered so much more forgiveness than those so off center hits were fine

i'd imagine the ht's would be alot more pleasant on off center hits.

if you need feeback on clubs, i usually turn to www.golfreview.com and go to the review section. or just google reviews on the ht's and you'll be sure to find something i guarantee you that

i know i didn't help much but its really hard to assume that one club is gonna play like another model , especially ones that are differen't types of clubs.

don't get set on a model, keep your mind open to anything and you might be surprised at what you like,

if all else fails, stick with the supersteels and get some lessons
