I'm having a Ti700 Turbo 3wood built for me. Its a clone of the new T.Mades.

I was just wondering if anyone is hitting anything similar. How do you like it, was it worth it to you. Do you wish you just spent the extra bill and got a T.Made instead? Thanks for the replies.

I am not a fan of clones but if you go that route pay the extra to get a good shaft. I see a lot of good clones that have cheap shafts in them. When the guy tells you his shaft is just as good as the aldila or fujikura, run, the guy is taking you for a ride. You can clone heads and do a very good job but I have never seen a cheap shaft perform like the real thing.

I usually reshaft all my "big" clubs. . .So I'm having the builder put in a nice graphite Rifle shaft, I picked a 75 gram shaft in stiff flex. He's having it SST pured (pardon my ignorance, but I'm honestly not sure what that is  --I'm assuming a spline test??). This is the same guy who built my custom putter, so I definitely trust the guy. I'm trying different brands to see what works best for me as far as shafts. Two Fujikuras--different, a Harrison Striper in X Flex, ALdila oem's in my hybrid 3 and 4 irons (Hagens), and now a Rifle.

I wish I would have held off on the R580XD more so than the other clubs. I've had the best luck with Adams driver/woods. . .I will say they've been Tight Lies clubs, but I would like to try the new Adams Redline RPM clubs (removable/changeable weights). I've had good luck with Adams clubs. Never end up "demo-ing" them though.

Shaft is th emost important part of the club. Pick the head you desire and spend the money on a good shaft. It makes all the difference in the world having good shafts on there.

That's an interesting shaft that girl is holding, but is it a good one?

The club I had built was an S.S. 750 3metal head from Golfsmith's I think. The shaft was a Rifle Saber shaft in stiff, sst pured by Golfsmith's. This has been the straightest club in my bag and has been my favorite since I picked it up. I'm starting to reach the par5's in 2, not all the time, but sometimes. It all depends on how well the driver is going. ANd that's getting better. I'm currently using a 8/8gram weight setup in the club.
