Dave's right - his play in the majors is astonishing. And his Saturday round at Oakmont was one of the finest rounds of precision golf I've ever seen. Comparable to his surgical dissection of Hoylake last year.

I think it is much more impressive than what he did at Hoylake, since he had no rough to contend with there, MUCH slower greens and he did not have to hit a driver. Saturday's rounds was prob one of the best striking rounds I have ever seen... too bad a few of those putts didn't fall.

last 6 majors for Tiger,3 wins and 3 seconds

and when he has come second he hasn't looked like he was on at all.

At Oakmont he just looked out of sorts yet still came second

Didn't he miss the cut last year?

That was painful to watch. He made good putts. They just didn't go down.
