Jet Blue landing

Anybody catch the Jet Blue emergency landing last night? That was pretty impressive. I was surprised the front gear didn't collapse under the pressure.

I heard it was torn right off on the radio this morning...?

The tire was blown off, but the gear remained intact allowing the plane to skid to a stop. If the front gear had of collapsed the plane would have came in with it's nose on the runway... that could have been bad.

It was cool to be able to see an emergency landing live on CNN. The crew of that flight did an outstanding job from what I saw

Yes, the flight crew did a great job. I did not get to see it live and would have loved it. This morning on the news they reported that the passengers were able to watch the coverage live as the plane touched down.

If it hadn't gone well they would've been the first passengers ever to watch themselves crash on live tv. :wow:

Yeah that was a pretty amazing job by the pilot. I'd have been scared shitless if I was a passenger.

I kind of relate it to watching your surgery during a vasectomy. You're witnessing the end of your life as you know it....
