quite a few senior pros, Loren Roberts and Langer for example, no longer carry a 4 iron, 3 wood to 19/20 ish hybrid then 5 and even 6 to PW. presumably the lofts are quite strong but still, seems to be the way to go if they do it.

3 wood at 15 or better 4 wood at 16
20 degree hybrid, at 200 yards out you just want to be on or safe
5-pw, 5 iron at 27 degrees no stronger, PW to 47
two wedges 54 and 60
quite a few pros carrying 54 60 now it seems
the key is the 5 iron, it should be regarded as along iron and used with caution outside of 8 handicap, better for the higher handicaps to swing smoothly on a rescue and get the ball running for the green
