Las Vegas Golf Courses? Reasonable?

A buddy and I are going to be in Las Vegas on September 12 & 13 and we're looking to play a couple of area courses. We're looking for decent courses reasonable rates ($100.00 green fee range).

We've pretty much settled on playing Rhodes Ranch, but we're not sure about the second course. My friend has suggested Las Vegas National, but the on-line reviews don't look inviting to me.

Anyone have any experience golfing in Vegas that can shed some insight onto either of these courses, or make another recommendation in our price range?

Thanks in advance.

Angel Park. 36 nice Palmer-designed holes. Under $100 that time of year.

I also really like Badlands. 27 holes. I'm not sure what the green fees are, but I think they should be around $100 also.

I was going to say Pauite if you are going to have a car, but I think their rates are a little steeper in September. May fit into a Twilite rate though.

Paiute - Golf Club Resort Las Vegas Nevada Pete Dye Design Golf Courses

edit 1 - actually looking further at their site, they are airating their best course those dates. Cheaper rates, but airated greens. May want to check the others for Airation dates.

Instead of playing two rounds combine the funds and play one really nice round at Rio Secco. Get a Tee Mate (smokin hot chick that caddies for you in a short skirt and polishes your balls). Cash is king in Vegas and if you are looking to save a buck the only way to do it is to stay at home.

I only played the Wolf, and it was awesome. One of my favorite Vegas area courses. $130 for aerated greens seems a bit excessive, but $100 for either the Sun or Snow courses should be good, since they aren't being aerated on your dates.

I believe the $100 is only good during the airation dates listed for those courses. Otherwise I think they are $169 or $110 for Twilite on those days. I am not sure I would pay the $169 with the drive, but it is probably worth the $110. But I'm not sure what it costs elsewhere.

Oh, I see you are right.

Yeah, I'd play Wolf again for the $199 fee - it was one of the best courses I've ever played. Just don't know about the other two for $169...especially with the drive.

You guys are nuts...i can hardley justify paying 45$ for greens fees...

I guess if i was on vacation i would be more willing to put down some cash to play some nicer courses but damn...$199? Thats enough for a TOP NOTCH canadian hooker...and i loose alot less balls doing that :D

In Vegas, $199 gets you a one-legged homeless crack whore.

Thanks for the help. Right now we've decided on Angel Park (Mountain Course) and Rhodes Ranch.
