LESSONS IN A SIMULATOR

I have taken four lessons in the past month or so. I am taking them at a local store called pro golf and the guy that I am taking the lessons from is a pro who was on tour for a year. Anyway, we have been doing the lessons in a simulator inside the store. Does anyone think that this is a mistake, any pros or cons of this? Any input is appreciated.

What works outside will work inside.
The only 2 draw backs to inside.
1. your hitting off a mat and that will let you hit good shots with a bad swing, the pro should know the difference and not let you think you are making great progress when you are not.
2. you can't see the true ball flight so again you may think you are hitting better than you are.
