IG, GM and myself are have a nice we match up at the "port" in the upcomming month or so...

I don't fancie my chances ,to be honest, I haven't been playing much at all.

I don't no what sort of golf GM is? I'm sure he is pretty good.

I'm dying to get back up to the port, it's nice a layout and I love playing the links.

IG or GM got any dates in mind? Anything you would like to say on the matter?

OK dudes, game on! Some Sunday in early December, 4th or 11th say at 11am ish?

GM, if you are planning to give Teh Master a lift, here is some advice.

1. When you drive up to his house, unless there is a sizeable bird sitting beside his clubs, I suggest you just spin the wheels and head on up to The Port solo.

2. Fess up with his parents - tell them your plans for the day, so you don't end up with the PSNI arresting you for kiddie soliciting on a web forum.

3. Bring a trailer. When TM last pitched up, his brought his Tour Bag. At the time there were 2 homeless families living in it, a herd of goats and David Attenborough was filming a Natural History programme.

4. While you are at it, bring some earplugs, for he is sure to jibber on about how far he hits the ball, how great Kayne West is etc.

5. There is an ATM at the Texaco service station just as you come into Portstewart. Remove a large quantity of folding stuff from said machine...you'll need it, ;)

Ethier date suits me.

No it will be the 4 year old ping carry bag with me.

Yes ear plugs are adviseable, I will talk a lot of sh!t in your ear it's my nature lol.

There will be no caddy comming with me, I will get one up there.

And what's up with Texaco garages, did they not like go out of date 5 years ago, I didn't think they exsisted any more.

I think the winners should get a new driver cover. Or maybe the losers should have to use these. Either way they're appropriate for this match. :D

DaveE - thanks for the reminder.

So I ordered that chicken headcover (grey). What a dumbass idea... was I loaded or something???? I should have listened to Sling.

Anyways, it arrives and it barely squeezes over the Launcher (which is only the 400cc model) and is a pain in the ass to get on and off. Plus the thing is so furry I can't see half the shit in my bag. I must admit it looks hilarious as hell though.

Anyways, I ship it back to golfsmith and pick up a Launcher 400 White (rare these things are) for $15 including shipping.

Moral of the story, stay streamlined if you are going with a small lightweight bag and carry your clubs

So we are all on then for the 11th December at 11am? (weather permitting).

The match will be IG and Andy_79 v. GM and Teh Master. There will also be an individual stableford score.

NB Teh Master only gets to play when he honours his last debt. No turkey, no game. Crystal? And I don't want some Bird Flu Ridden piece of sh1t! I want something decent.

We will discuss betting stakes, rules, attire etc. as well as all the usual jibber-jabba in the run up to the match I'm sure. Photos are mandatory.

Game on?

The 11th December, at 11am, sounds good.

Individual stableford score sounds fun, though I must add, I'm not playing much recently, and I will more than likely not play to my handicap, but stranger things have happended; if I go around it the 70's I will be satisfied, maybe +5 or +6.

As a Irish golfer, you should be prepared for all conditions wind, rain, hail, snow, sunshine and overcast... After all the big gun's don't call it off becuase of a bit of rain. Do they?

Yes, betting stakes will be kept "reasonable", as it is a friendly; christmas cheer game.

I'm glad you did bring up rules; I assume that it will be better ball, shots involved of course?

And yes I will be bringing my camera; hoping to get some great action shots.

Game on playa's.
