Your launch angle and spin are perfect. I mean, perfect dude. Your ballspeed is a little low for your swing speed. Better contact would lend to a ball speed closer to 155. Was this an average?

EDIT: Dur, read the whole thing, dipshit. Sorry.

In Trajectoware Drive it is hard to see, really, any improvement.

For 147 ball velocity, 14* launch, and 2800 spin, you get a computed carry distance of 244.1 with an angle of descent of 38.9*.

If you keep the launch parameters the same, 147, 14* and vary the spin, the distance goes down at every increment, up or down. So 2800 is perfect, really.

If you can get your smash factor up to 1.5, i.e., better face contact with same launch parameters, and your ball speed jumps to say 155 at 14* and 2800, your carry goes to 260.9, or basically a pickup 16-17 yards or so.

If you are hitting that driver semi-consistently and reasonably straight, I doubt I'd make a change anytime soon. If you hit 10/14 fairways in a round with it, your driving isn't the reason you aren't shooting in the 60's.

Those numbers are very similar to what I got except was getting higher ball speed. Is that due to the "smash factor"? And that is more consistently in center of face OR more forgiving driver face? And the driver head used has something to do with that also then, right? :)

I got 162 out of 108 ss on the launch monitor numerous times. 14º launch angle and 2800 rpm. The guy said I was on the sweet spot almost every shot (the advantages to a short backswing I guess)... :) I knew I should have kept that Rapture... :( You'll also notice the effect of higher launch on carry and also that the optimum spin is around 3000 rpm. Lower or higher and your carry goes down. So raise them lofts and hit 'em in the middle of the face!!!

Check this link out that R35 (I think) showed me....

you changed your numbers... previously you said 165 with 105ss (not possible) therefore my previous point is invalid. now that you've changed it to 162 out of 108 that is the absolute max im pretty sure.

I thought I had it right but checked the link and I was off a couple so edited it. I know I had it maxed out and was over 160. Most were in the 158-160 range if I remember. :)

165 on 105 is a SF of 1.57. I'm not sure if that could be done or not. Above 1.5 is definitely possible, in fact, its not hard at all. The highest I've had is 1.55. You just need a head with the COR right at the limit, perfect contact, and a strong release.
