So it's friggin cold out here. Like, cold.

I started daydreaming during a meeting today at work about what car I would buy if I ever won the lottery. Nothing big, 25 million or something.

I'm really torn. I think I'd want to live here still, but have a winter house someplace as well that I could visit for weeks on end. But, i'd still need a vehicle to drive in the summer, plus a winter "beater".

How about you guys? There are plenty of us that live in differing climates that it would be interesting to see what people choose.

Obviously, if you lived in a place that had 8 months of winter, that Lambourghini Gallardo you had your eye set on wouldn't cut it.

So, 25 million bucks you've just won, BUT you have to live where you currently reside.

Have at it...

I am boring

A Ford Hybrid Escape, and 40 acres of rolling grassland. My own private golf course and driving range. Just a nine hole course, maybe open it up to the public and that would be my new job. On the other hand I would have my new ETAP 32 Sailboat and Meade LX 200 12" scope in its own observatory.

I'd probably get a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for the winter driving/travelling/getting to the ski hill - that way I can have the space and 4WD benefits of an SUV without the climate desecration they're so famous for.

I'm really torn for my summer car though...I've really been liking Porsches lately...that'd be pretty cool. Then again, I also may just want a "drive around car" that I don't mind parking in some areas that I might not wanna leave my 911. So maybe that one would be a BMW 325 or something.

Then, of course, I'd have to get a bike. Maybe a Yamaha FZ6 or the new Kawi that's similar...I forget what it is...nice rides, those. I may also get something along the lines of a V-Max so that the gf can be a bit more comfortable on the back. Or maybe a Goldwing for touring, she'd like that.

And a couple of ski-doos for when I go visit Sask in the winter.

You bastard!:D

Well done.

I'm partial to the Porsche Cayenne. It's a "love it or hate it" vehicle. I hated it when it first came out, but the more I read about it and then finally someone bought one in town so I could have a look, they're fantastic vehicles. I also LOVE the FX45 from Infinity. It's easily my favorite SUV of all time. So sweet.

Summer car would have to be a Porsche 911 or a BMW M3 CSL. Two door cars don't work for dogs and stuff, so the old lady will have to get some sort of 4 door beater.....Audi A3 or a GX35, something cheap.:D

Screw it, I changed my mind...... add a 350Z to my list: if I can't get my clubs in the back, I'll just have my caddy follow in the SUV. :D

I had the original, a 1970 240Z, and it was a blast.

Good choice, Dave.

Although, I've never been a fan of rag top cars. No matter what car they are.

If I lived there I probably wouldn't think convertible either. If I were going hardtop I'd go V12 Vanquish. A real bargain at only $255K. :p

I'll give ya walks, or even jogs. But I don't get the physics of an 18" wing to add downforce to the rear wheels on a front wheel drive car?
