Doesn't always work. Sometimes the course is crowded. Also, peckerheads don't like being forcibly overtaken and confrontation can occur a few holes ahead.

That's why I try not to be forcibly overtaken.

I only skip around groups/holes when I am sure I can get in front of them and play the rest of my round without impeding their progress.
