Matfen Hall, Hexham - it's in the North of England.

Never played there, but a day off work to play 36 holes can't be bad under any circumstances. Make the most of your golf time before you get married..!

My AA Golf Guide says ... "An 18 hole parkland course set in beautiful countryside with many natural and man-made hazards. The course is an enjoyable test fpr players of all abilities but it does incorporate challenging water features in the shape of a large lake and a fast flowing river. The dry stone wall presens a unique obstacle on many holes. The 4th, 9th, 12th and 14th holes are particularly testing par 4s, the dog-legged 16th is the pick of the par 5s but Maften's signature hole is the long par 3 17th with its narrow green teasingly sited just over the river."

This guide is usually pretty reliable, so i'd say it's a decent track.

Good luck with the golf and the wedding! Let us know how they go.
