Maybe I don't need a new driver?

I sold the Ping G2 this week, because it was hitting too low, and I have $165 in my Paypal account that I was going to use on a new Titleist 905T.

But, the last 2 days, I have been hitting another driver very well (for me): relatively straight, 250+ yards with nice launch angle. It's an Integra 450R 9 degree head on the Aldila NV-H 70-R shaft that I pulled from the Hogan CS-3.

Funny, when I put it together a month ago, I couldn't hit it worth a darn.

What makes a driver the crap one day and magic the next?

You have to give new equipment a little time. When I got the R7 I hit it like crap for about a week, pullhooking everything. Then I just teed it up a little higher and further forward, opened the face a little and gripped it lighter. I drove the green on a 315yd. par 4 twice in the same week. Now I have no excuse, I know it's me when I hit it like crap. Stick with that one for now and test a lot before you dump more $. I hit the R7 460 the other day, nice. I want to take it to the range and switch it up with my weights.

I plan to play this one this Sunday. Couldn't possibly do worse than last Sunday when I hit 1/14 fairways with my 983K.

Ah, Doc, just hit the Integra for a while. If you only hitting 1 out of 14 fairways I don't think its going to hurt your game any more. Yes, this coming from a man with 12 putters, but I only have one gamer, the rest are just hanging around the house or next to the Boomerange. Its more of a collection rather than a rotation.

Guy I bought the Muiras off of has a Scratch wedge up for sale too. I'm going to try an snag it. Not sure what loft... all the blood rushed to my head when I saw the irons.
