What does everyone do for Memorial Day weekend? Growing up, some hundred years ago, we always had a passle of smelly old aunts who would come visit us on Memorial Day to decorate graves. Today, many no longer live anywhere close to where they grew up. Makes it much more difficult to go visit graves of passed relatives.

Do you attend any of the Legion military remembrance services?? Do you put out a flag?? Do you travel to relatives?? Do you take a family weekend at the lake or beach?? Do you just stay home and play golf all weekend??

My wife's parents are buried only a few miles from where we live. So, she'll probably take some flowers out there. Other than that, I plan on playing golf 3 days in a row... and having a long weekend with my "bride". Sounds like there is the expectation to do some exterior painting that I've been procrastination on and she wants some shrubs planted in a landscaped area. Will probably be well ready to return to work on Tuesday.

Whatever you do.... please stay safe!!!!!!

Working a few hrs both saturday & sunday. Afterwards my wife & I will take the motorcycles into Madison for Brat Fest. Probably get the boat out at least 1 & hopefully 2 days. That's about it, I always have a flag flying so nothing different there. I don't do the graveyard scene as I just don't see the point in it.

I always took my Ma around to every freakin' gravesite in 3 counties to put flowers on, and since she's been gone a long time and all the other relatives live far away, I've somehow inherited the job, plus going to my Wife's family gravesites. But we make a day of it, and end it with a nice dinner out, so it's not that bad.

Working 10 hours on Sunday and 10 hours on Monday, gotta keep the folks flying around the country.

Hopefully, I will catch the last half on the Indy 500 after work on Sunday.

I've been out and about 3 weekends in a row, so I think I'm staying put this weekend. Suppose to rain everyday, but I might try and pick and choose and go out for a few holes every day, or go chip and putt at the range/par 3 course.

Gonna put some ribs and a pork shoulder on the smoker Saturday or Sunday and let those go all day in some apple wood. Sit around and watch golf, and do nothing. It'll be nice.

Normally, I'd be at the house in the Mtns.. Fishing, playing golf, gambling at the casino, and relaxing on the porch, or sitting on the dock..

But to hell with it!! I'm gonna be lazy.

Our kids are away this weekend, so we actually haven't decided. We're either going to the beach house Saturday morning, or just staying home and getting stuff done around the house.

I took the day off Monday to go to the zoo with my family. Therefore, I've been working all day and night since. I should work Monday, but I have a lot to do around the house. I have a lot of smaller jobs to do right now, I just need to decide if I'm going to work on one that pays, or one that doesn't. I love to go play, but I haven't seen my wife and kids much lately. Cookout Monday evening, though. That will be nice.

Put in 4 hrs this morning at work, just got back from a couple hrs out on the lake. My dog loves the boat but hates it when I toss him overboard.
Tomorrow I might play a quick 9 at my home course & then head to Brat Fest.

We stayed home, which wound up being a good thing because our puppy came down with a bladder infection. Poor girl was peeing while she walked! Much easier to deal with at home. Had a great weekend, just me and the wife.
