Mizuno MP-001, 9 degress, stiff shaft (grafalloy blue)

It's on a website for 149.99, new. I've been looking for a new driver.. thoughts?

I was looking at the TM R580XD 9.5 stiff, but stumbled upon this.

The Mizuno is a great driver. Very forgiving and hits the ball straight all day long.

But, If I had a negative about it, it's not the longest driver out there. This might shy away some, but if you're hitting it 270 down the middle instead of 300 into the bush, who's smarter now?

I posted a review on the Miz driver a while back. I found it, liike Rock said, very straight, but lacking in distance.

I went on a search for a new driver a few months ago and the Mizuno was one of my favorites. Very forgiving, but like the others said not quite as long as the Cobra SZ that I ended up getting.

Also, just so you know, the 9* is the 400cc model, as opposed to the 460. Ebay one up for under $150 for the 460.

Is the 460 significantly longer? I hit around 250 with the driver I have right now, so a consistent 270 down the line wouldn't really be that much of a damper to me :p

I'm not even sure why you're looking for a driver if you hit it that well with the driver that you have.

Are you kiding? We always want to hit it longer!

$150 on that driver is a little high, here at the end of the season you will see some very good deals.

My driver is made for people who slice incessently. My clubface is like this \. I don't like it at all. I think it really kills my distance, because I swing pretty straight. Now that I'm getting significantly better, I'm looking to make my clubs fit my swing to get the most out of my game. Neutral bias.

Obagain, would you recommend the 460 MP-001 against the TM R580XD?

FYI - Cleveland is discontinuing the Launcher 460. Just saw one at a local golf shot for 179 with NV.

In a week they will be all over ebay for $150.

The 460 is going to be the best deal out there. They are very easy to hit and a lot of them will have very good shafts in them.

If you only have the 2 to choose from I would choose the mizuno but I would really look for a cleveland 460.

I love my Launcher. I tried the Miz that I bought but went straight back to the Launcher, it's just so steady.

Really? Hmm.. I'll certainly consider it. Mizuno just sounds so much cooler ;_;

If the launcer is long and straight I'll go for it if it's in that price range. What do you recommend for a good 3 and 5? Stick with the launchers?

You'd go launcher?

I'd go Launcher in the driver and the MP-001 in fairway woods
