Money game Suggestions for a 4some

Playing 36 holes on friday. Our best golfer handicap is about a 5, I am probably around a 30 if handicaps go that high, the other two are in the 18 - 20 range. Any idea of money games we can play besides bingo bango bongo? Last time out we tried wolf but it didn't work because the 5 handicap is way to good and was picked as partner ever time. How clever is the green font get it green for golf?

check out about.com and look at their section on golf games. they have quite a bit of information.

in my experience, however, it is very difficult to level the playing field among HC's so far apart.

one twist we did once, however, was scramble, and you had to play the worst of the shots among players. each player would take a shot, and the worst was the ball played. it was fun.

We play a lot of Hi-Low with handicap. You will have the same partner for the entire match and subtract out the 5 handicapper's handicap from all of yours. Each hole is worth a possible two points. One for High, negative one for low. Most points in a 9 wins the 9 bet, or you could always go a buck a point or something. We usually go front, back, and overall 5-5-5.

It keeps everyone involved because you DON'T want to make the high.

If you play Wolf, it has to be with handicap, with the low guy subtracted out. That won't give the 5-handicapper any extra advantage one the supposed "toughest" holes which are usually the 4 par 5's. You'll go from a 30 to a 25 which isn't really a big deal. You'll still be getting 2 shots on these "toughest" holes whereas the 5-handicapper will be playing them scratch.

Truly though, with such a variance in handicap, the best game is bingo-bango-bongo for pure scratch competition. We throw in an extra "point" (bungo?) if you sweep all three on a hole.
