MP-30's or 704.CB's

I'm thinking about getting some new irons (well used, but new to me). I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Mizuno MP-30's and the Titleist 704.CB's. I've demo'd them both and like them equally.

Do any of you have opinions on either of these? I know there are tons of Mizuno fans that post here, but rarely do I see many Titleist iron fans.

Any input is appreciated.

I just bought a set of Mp-30's and I really like them so far. They're forgiving enough that I think they will fit what I want out of an iron - good feel, trustworthy feedback and more foregiveness over what a full on blade iron would deliver. I played MP-33's for this whole summer, loved them, but wanted the above, which unfortunately, the blades didn't supply.

I've only hit a few Titleist blades in my time. I won't offer an opinion on them, as I am biased negatively towards Titleist. It's totally opinionated tho from my perspective, as I know they have quality product all the way accross the line. In my limited experience, I liked the feel of the forged clubs, just not the set up or the look of them. Again, just my opinion.

Good luck in your decision making!

Both are very good clubs, you can't go wrong with either. But asking for opinions on these is like asking camera buffs whether they prefer Olympus or Nikon,or car buffs whether they like Ferrari or Aston Martins,it really is personal choice.I'm a Tit man myself,Rock is a Mizuno chap,it means nothing, its upto you. Having said that if I had to recommend a set,I would go for the Mizzies,Titleist irons do tend to be more idiosyncratic.Just my 2p

I went with the 704's. I picked them up for $298 on ebay and luckily the seller lived local. I picked them up on the same day to avoid shipping costs. They are about an 8 out of 10 as far as condition goes. I will be regripping them soon. The full cords that are on them are murder on my hands. I'm used to tour velvets.

Thanks again for the input. It really came down to the best deal.

:smilie_ti Now I guess I can officially use this smile.
