I know this thread is supposedly in the wrong section - but I wanted to put it here bc it would get the highest viewership AND bc it is golf related.

I decided to track my round for the first time...GIR, Fairways hit, three putts etc.

Went to his site and liked it quite a bit. Very detailed.

Hope this helps. Charting rounds is widely suggested as a way of analyzing strengths and weaknesses.

I three putted five times yesterday...

Ouch. That's at leats 5 strokes right there. Maybe more with some luck/practice.

I keep a journal of my rounds at home, I mark the putts and GIR on the scorecard of just about every round. This really makes you aware of where your strokes are coming and going.

I'll check out the site. Thanks B.

Thanks for the support!

Wait until you get a few rounds entered. That is when the statistics get interesting. You can compare your stats with other players, too. Just hit the Statistics button and enter one or more other member names. Unfortunately, the site is not getting heavy usage yet, though. I think I have about 40 rounds entered (for myself). I'm "Jim" in the site. You can view my recent rounds with stats by pressing the Members button.

I will probably put in a message board soon. So, the site will also be a meeting place.

Eventually, there will be thousands of people. Things should be very interesting when there are hundreds...league play, tee time invitations, forum, viewing other peoples rounds with pictures and video, looking at stats, etc.

To help make this happen, I am probably going to provide the basic functionality for free (round entry, basic stats, etc.).

So far, I have invested about 700 hours of my time plus the money to have the site professionally hosted.

Enjoy the site!
