While getting ready for two rounds and a little vacation this week, I was cleaning out my bag this weekend and discovered that the bottom plastic plate is cracked. :( This could have been done by some pissed off baggage handler or by me. I bought it about 4-5 years ago, and it's just a plain black armoured canvass type, cost was around $75. It should last through the season until my last round which is usually the second week of November. On the thing I don't like about my old bag is how the grips get hung up inside the bag when pulling a club out, so some type of individual chambers for each club sounds nice.

I normally ride or walk and use a pull cart. I would appreciate any advice you guys have on purchasing something large enough to keep my shoes inside of it as well say in the $100 to $200 range.

Thanks!

I am like you in that I walk quite a bit and ride a bit too.

I love the Ogio Grom. Has tons of great features for walking and riding.

The ball pouch has a very nice feature - it is zipperless. You can grab a ball out of the bag with only one hand. Pockets galore for everything: water, scorecard, pencil all within easy reach when the bag is on your shoulders.

And when you have it on the cart - it has a special rubber strap that goes over the horizontal bar on the back of the golf cart which holds the bag in place. Your bag will not twist around in the cart as you drive along. They call this the Torq strap (I think this is spelled correctly).

The bag also has the great great Woode club organizing system. This places your woods in a vertical row along the right side of the bag. Your irons are in three horizontal rows and the putter is alone in its own slot on top. Clubs never get lost under headcovers and you can see every club every time.

This bag is available for about $140.

Thanks!

I did a quick web search and found it. Is the stand removable?

Is that how that works? I've been wondering...(got an Ogio EXO recently) I knew it was for something, but couldn't figure out what to do with it. Thanks to ST, I've now figured out the last secret of my bag!

Oh Dave, my bag has many more secrets, known only to me and a few choice others.

I'd accuse you of having your mind in the gutter, but I think I was born in the gutter.

I don't think the non-removable stand would be that much of an issue. Because 80% of the time I ride, so that also means that 80% of the time I need it to NOT tip over in the parking lot when I'm putting on or taking off my golf spikes!
