Need Opinion on a Bag

Ok guys,

I walk fairly often, and still use a couple year old Taylor MAde Cart bag. This is ok on the cart, but when I walk, it sucks, especially on hot days. I love the look of Ogio bags, but wonder which I should get. The grom looks great, but which is the best? The cost wont matter, as I have enough to get whichever I want, so cost unconsidered, which Ogio stand bag do you get?

I also have an Exo. I believe it's the step above the Grom, but offhand, can't remember what the differences are. From the brief look I just took at the site, there's a "crossbow shoulder strap" on the Exo vs. a "triple triangle" on the Grom, as well as one extra pocket. Both are great bags.

I wanted a TrickSS but they never ended up getting the Schling strap on the market.

Love the Grom. Not really certain about the differences between it and the Exo...

Maybe a trip to your local retailer would help.

I think Ogio is the best bag maker out there.

Here's another small, obscure feature of my Grom I like. The bag will "free stand". Meaning it can stand up on its own vertically without the legs extended. My house has no garage but I have a shed in the backyard where I store my tools etc. Because the shed is pretty small, space is precious. The ability for the bag to be snuggled tightly over in the corner in an upright position without the legs extended saves some space. The Ping Hoofer for example cannot do this as the base of the bag is angled. The Hoofer must either be laid horizonally on the ground or it must stand up it the diagonal position with its legs extended. It cannot free stand...

Good luck with your choice and tell us what you got and what you paid.

I guess that is what I am in between the Exo and the Grom, but I think I am gonna get the Grom, I just looked at it at the local shop and like it. One more stop to look at the exo at a store about an hour away and I will have made my choice. I will keep my cart bag (wheres a ho gonna keep his stuff) so th wife will get off my back about "why do all those clubs just have to be all over in the closet" so the new storage will be nice too. I especially like the Woode system, I love the idea. Is it as good as I think it is?

Ok, now I have three choices, which should I get and why

1. Ogio Edge

2. Ogio Exo

3. Ogio Grom

Which is the better bag or what features are more important, none of the shops I have been to have even 2 of the three to compare so I have to go this route.

Actually, the Edge is top of the line, but I'd probably go Exo because I don't like the "Hoode" system on the Edge. I prefer the old regular zip cover.

If money's no object, I'd go Exo just because it's "a bit" better.

I love the Woode system...clubs are never lost underneath clubhead covers because all the woods are in a vertical column...

And you can tell at a glance, if all your irons are the bag. No need to count. I have four woods, nine irons and a putter. I put the woods on the right side (four slots available) and there are three rows for the irons, so I put three in each row. Once glance and I know I have them all. Putter in its own slot on top. Never gets lost - always easy to grab...

From my own standpoint, I see no need for a cart bag. This one easily holds a full rainsuit and has a nice external slot for an umbrella.

Well I looked at the Exo and the Grom side by side today, and got the Grom. Nothing against the exo, but they only had it in black, and I got the grom for 40 bucks less. I almost think they may have mispriced but hay, I am damn happy with the bag. I got the fire color. Did I say I love this bag? I've had it all of an hour.....................:)

Great!! I think it is one of the best designed products (of any type) I have ever seen.

What did you pay for it??

They had it marked for $129 and $169 for the exo, they had a sale going which was 20% off that price so I got it for 100. I'd expect that price online, but not in a shop. It was marked the same as the vaporlite, does this sound right. It is the 2005 model as well, so............
