How do these rules seem I spent a we while making them for a friend let me know what you think?
Rule 1: Remember the human
The golden rule your parents and your school teacher taught you was pretty simple: Do unto others as you'd have others do unto you.
Rule 2: Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life
Be ethical
Rule 3: Know where you are in cyberspace
Netiquette varies from domain to domain. Think before you post.
Rule 4: Respect other people's time and bandwidth
You are not the center of the world, or cyberspace.
Rule 5: Make yourself look good online
You won't be judged by your race, the color of your eyes or hair, your weight or your age. However you are judged on your quality of writing.
Rule 6: Share expert knowledge
Just be careful and try not to sound like a know-it-all.
Rule 7: Help keep flame wars under control
Now, I didn't say don't flame. Just keep in under control, and remember it eats up bandwith and gets old after awhile.
Rule 8: Respect other people's privacy
This is simple, and don't think the admins can't see if you are trying to hack into someone else account they can.
One account for one person
Rule 9: You are only allowed one account, please take this into consideration, it gives admins more unnessecery work. If two or more people are usuing a forum from the same computer please inform the boss.
Rule 10: Be forgiving of other people's mistakes or mis-understandings
Everyone's new at one time, even you never forget this.
