I am a new golfer.. I have played a handful of times and am getting better every time I play.

I don't have my own clubs and I am looking to start with a set of irons. I want clubs that are forgiving and will last me for a long time. A friend recommended the 2009 Burner Irons by Taylor Made. He told me to go regular length and regular flex.

I was going to purchase via Ebay because the prices are CONSIDERABLY cheaper for new golf equipment there.

How are these clubs for a newer player?

They are great clubs. Does the expense match your game? That's the question. Hit em first please. Also try the Cleveland Hibore/hybrid irons and Nike slingshots. The TaylorMade R7 draws may please you too.

Number one advice point----hit em before ya buy em

Something I learned in this forum:

To start with, go and buy used. You spend less than half and will work exactly the same...
