What are you trying to start here? I just comment on how I'm going to buy less equipment this year and you start posting new stuff to tempt me. Lucky for me I haven't found anybody to let me demo wedges yet. :D

I'll send one in the mail, Dave.

What would golf be without club whores? :D

I think the look is growing on me. My 51* wedge is sorta looking super rusty. I may have posted a pic of it on the forum somewhere.....

Hehe.. Tried it on a local golf shop. They sell it used but in very good condition at 80 bucks, and quite balanced. I still don't know about it compared to Cleveland or Titleist Vokey's.....

The 51* is suppose to be rusty. This sounds alot like someone trying to justify his equipment addiction. :D

Uh, well, no, because, well, no.

    Stupid new equipment.

I spent 3 hours hitting clubs last night. A friend wanted a recommend on some new stuff. He went off to talk with the pro shop guy, i hit balls in the simulator. I got about 240 hit before they "threatened" to lock us in there for the night.

Needless to say, i threw my jacket back on the chair.... ;)

So did they have the new Mizuno wedge?

More importantly, did you find me a new 3 wood? What I'm looking for is one that hits the ball perfectly straight every time about 235-240. I've heard that demoing is a good idea but it just seems easier to ask someone else.

Nope, no wedge. I'll have to wait to experience that.

If you need a 3 wood, i recommend Steelhead III's or the new Ping G2's. Both amazingly easy to hit. Very forgiving.

Trust me, both are guaranteed to hit a 2 yard draw about 235ish. :)

Actually, I have demoed the Steelhead III and they are nice. I've never hit a Ping wood but have heard good things about the G2.

I guess I'll have to go demo for myself. :golf:

Nah, your best bet is to take my word for it. Spending gobs of money on new clubs with the recommendation of some Canuck on the internet is key to a good game.

    I promise. :innocchi

I just got the new Mizuno MP T Nickel 60 degree wedge for 29 dollars on ebay. I haven't hit it yet but I will let you know how I like it in 2 weeks or so.

The Callaway Steelhead III 3 Wood is a great choice. I use mine off the tee instead of a driver. I get about 250 out of it (when hit well). It was definitley worth the $125 I paid for it...

Those are nice woods, though I've only tried them at demos. I ended up going with the Cobra SZ for the deeper face since our fairways are cut pretty long.
