Well, went to the range today and it took the whole bucket to fix the pulls, everything was going good then i developed a case of the shanks, i have absolutely never had this problem, i must have hozeled like 10 out of a bucket of 100 or so,

    so,

    here we go again

A shank is either of these things:

    1) Very out-to-in
    2) You're just tired...

I think you're just tired.

    Agreed.

Gun, no offense, but with all your ailments and troubles with the sticks, how do you ever expect to win that state championship?

In all 27 years of my wisdom, i think you have a long way to go before you start showing credibility in your game. You have to establish some fundamentals in your game, understand your weakness and find ways to get out of funks quickly and easily.

Golf is such a foolish game, it's better to have your head trained moreso that your body. Equipment means nothing, it's all in training your mind to want to succeed. And you can only get this from experience, being practice, playing or knowing your swing inside and out.

Keep up the practice. But don't call the fire department everytime your swing goes south for 10 or 20 balls. Just focus on your "quick cure" which you should have, meaning a wedge that you love to go to in many situations or just puring that 5 wood till the cows come home.

Work on the headgame, the rest will come.

none taken rock, the thing is, i have this great resource in you guys and might as well use it, i'm only having problems because of a break, an all foolish break to focus on kicking which isn't going to be a big hassle till next fall, it was foolish, and i'm still rusty,

when i get back to top form i'll pull a "master" and start trash talkin and get someone to come here and play. its just a matter of time

but yes you are right, i need to be able to take care of these things by myself, thanks for the tip, now i'm gonna get newly acquanted with my swing

    I've never been to Kansas.

    Wanna go? ;)

Right on Gun, keep up that great attitude.

True Gun, if you've got a swing that, stick with it. I can tell you this because I've been making swing changes just about every 3 days or so... But these last weeks, I'm trying to stick with a nice easy swing, and thanks to the help of everyone here, it's coming better and better everyday.

Rock, I go to that indoor driving range where they charge 7$/hour with unlimited balls. :canada: :canada:

If you have a case of the S's (I don't like to type the actuall word) in the future try this. Grab an easy club, 7 or 8 iron and try to hit a few balls off the toe. It works. If you can't trust Harvey Pineck who can you trust? :p

knowing my luck dave i'd probly hit the toe

well, i was in my backyard pitching with my lob wedge and i was fidgeting with my wrist turning over, i was able to get it down to a science, i then took out my plastic whiffle practice balls and started working on my PW, i think some of my main problems were alignment and bad tempo, what really seemed to work was closing my eyes until i was about to start my downswing, i was hitting very well, only 1 shank

by the time spring comes around i'll be tearing it up
