The MP33 is a wonderful stick!! As the TW phenom was hitting the golf industry, everyone wanted to 'be like Tiger'. At that time, he was with Titleist and playing a set of Titty blades. Titleist brought out the 681 and the 681T line for the masses. These were good sticks, but were the last of the Hoffman forgings and had some chrome peeling issues. Soon after the 681 line hit the retailers, TW moved over to Nike. Titty moved their forging business overseas and replaced the 681 line with the 690mb and 690cb.
The Titty 681 line was selling well. TW's actual blades, when with Titty, were a combination of Mizzy MP14 and MP29 sticks that he had played for quite a few years. They were forged by Titty, but were almost exact copies of the Mizzy clubs. Not wanting to be left behind, Mizzy brought out the MP33. This iron surprised many by how easily it played. The MP33 was not the typical "blade" that left your hands stinging and shots way short of the target. They were a huge success!!!
I owned a couple sets of the MP33s. Ended up replacing them with some 690mb Titty blades. That was only due to some name loyalty for an acquaintance then pretty well tied to Titleist. There was never anything I asked of the MP33s that they would not do. Both of my sets had the DGS300 shafts. Both seemed to play well out of the box.
Enjoy! They'll be quite a change from your Slingshots. Once the eyes adjust, I don't think you'll ever look back.

I had a set and them stupidly sold them. I think they were urinated on by Bob (Slingblade), before he passed them on to be raped by several other board members before Jeff eventually sold them to get fast porno cash.

All that aside, they're one of the best irons I've ever owned, bar none. That said, they're also one of the most wickedly dedicating irons you will ever hit, so be at the range as much as you can to get the most out of them.

Got any pics? They're truly a sweet looking iron.

Sorry it took quite a while to get pics up, been playing alot lately. Also included some of my whole bag. Loving these irons! Have never felt anything like them before, amazing. For the record I feel like the Cobra F Speed fairway woods are the most underrated fairways out. Automatic. Some of you may recall that Rock and Ezra had gifted me a Mizuno MP-R I loved this wedge and played it for 2 seasons, when the time came I regripped it and paid it forward again, donating it to my local first tee program. Thanks again Rock and Ezra, (havent seen Ezra around in a while)

Those are some serious irons! I use MP-60's and have loved them since first picking them up. I still feel Mizuno makes one of the best looking irons on the market. Any MP iron is just sexy in my books!

Man, that brings back memories. I loved my 33's, just didn't have the time to dedicate to them.

I still have a spare 6 iron head in the basement that I rub once in a while....

Sure, I play with my unit. Who doesn't?

That aside, the 33's are sweet. IMO, Mizuno hasn't released a better iron for the player series to date.

I loved my 33's but they take a back seat to the 68's that are out this year. The 68's have that same buttery feel but believe or not, they are forgiving. I know a blade iron and forgiving normally don't belong in the same sentence but these bad boys are. Don't get me wrong, they are not like a full cavity, but I was shocked with how well they handle mishits.
