OK I was menat to be getting one of the net but my pro is donig me a fantastic deal so I'm getting one of him, so he is collecting it tommorow for me, and I ordered a 8.5* stiff shaft and was doing a little reaserch on them and found out that the only diffference in the "regular" and "stiff" shafts is that the stiff is 2 grams heavier the torque in both are 4.0°. This is going to be way to flexy for me I need to go x-stiff.

Does anyone know why this is?

Which model are you talking about? The 410 or the 460?

I'm getting the 460cc model, but the shafts are the same in them.

torque is not the same as flex. torque is the amount of twisting, not bending of the shaft. 4.0 is fairly low torque, and would be consistent in the two shafts. The difference would be in the CPM's, which measure the stiffness of the shaft. Don't worry, the stiff flex does play stiffer than the regular, it just has the same torque. So give it a try and see if you like

well 4* and lower torque is to the point where it takes a VERY high swing speed to lose accuracy. 4.0 was the lowest out there in graphite a few years ago, but now there are some ultra-low torque shafts out there, i think as low as 1.8, maybe lower. This is just what i've seen and been told, my advice is worth what it cost you

Sorted anyway the kick point was to low in the shaft anyway, I'm getting a pro launch x-stiff with a mid-high kick point, a nice penetrating ball flight will be sweet to kick off the season next week.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but ProLaunch is a low kick shaft to get the ball up...I'm 98% sure of that. The Blue is supposed to be the mid-high kick...no?

Yeah I couldn't afford a blue but the x-stiff is still better than the stock stiif also I got it trimmed 1/2 at the tip so it does actually play XX-stiff now it is great this driver will be in my bag for a long time to come.
