Nah, next years us open course is almost a Scottish links, sans Scotland, chambers bay in wash. Iirc it has like one tree in play on the whole course, and like six holes boarder the ocean.

Yeah, that's chambers bay, the other thing, is that it is a public municipal, and is pretty cheap iirc, and is only like 40$ for county residents.

I just checked and non-resident fee is $239 plus taxes and caddy fees (if you choose to use one).
