I have 2 more listings I want you guys to check out for me. I plan on pulling the trigger on a new Scotty by the end of the weekend and these are the best 2 deals I have found. They both look good to me with lots of positive feedback....but as always I like a 2nd, 3rd and so on opinion. Thanks All!!!!!!

Both look good..... but with the advent of fakes out there (especially on the new selects) if you are going to spend $260+... why not spend $275-$290 at a local, reputable pro shop and be 100% sure?

As Scotty would say, JAT

A good point and one I have considered heavily and am still on the fence about. What is JAT though? LOL.

JAT = Just A Thought.

If you can get your hands on a Scotty with "JAT" on it, its worth a bit of money. Usually, JAT's only go out to friends and family and are hand done by Scotty. Wirehair can fill you in with greater detail, but it safe to say that JAT's are not easy to come by.

JAT is indeed "Just a thought." An experimental idea from the master. This is probably the most famous JAT

I'm thrilled with my Cameron. As you might know, it replaced an ancient Ping Anser 2 that had been in my bag since 1988.

I had wanted a Cameron for years, but never pulled the trigger. The model I still want is the Napa, a heel shafted blade along the lines of an Wilson 8802, but they have not been made for years, and today Napas in average condition fetch $300-$400. Pristine condition means $500+. That's not my bag of tea, so I began looking at similar models. Once I decided to take the plunge, I bid on a few Camerons online, but had my ceiling and was determined to get what I wanted (as close to a heel shafted blade as I could get, no heel-toe weighted or cavity required) for the price I wanted ($150-175).... I went to work.

At one point I was "watching" more than 20 different auctions at the same time. Bidding on a few, losing all of them, etc.

The one I did win, ended up being the third CHEAPEST of all the auctions I had watched at one time or another, which is nice. It's in good shape and I got the head cover as well.

Putting with it is sensory overload.... I love it. The lack of heel toe weighting shrunk the sweet spot less than I thought it would have, which is nice. I find that I have to give the ball a pretty good rap to get it to the hole, which has been a little surprising to me.

I'm going to play 9 with my boy tomorrow, so that will be the first time on the course. We've snuck onto the practice green at the local course a few times in the evening lately (all three kids go, we take over the empty putting green) and I have loved it so far.

I'm playing in an outing with colleagues from work on Tuesday, so those will be the first pressure putts... we'll see.

Now that I've joined the Cameron Owners Club, I can still take a step back and be rather amused by the hardcore collectors (Paying $400 for a limited edition Black US Open Headover) and Circle T putter collectors and over the top guys/gals who drive certain model cars just cause Scotty was seen in one when they caught a glimpse of him at some tournament 10 yeras ago....

but the attention to detail he gives his putters, the quality contruction, the incredible work the Custom Shop does... I can also see how someone can end up all wrapped up in Cameron-Mania.

Threads on other boards with a high concentration of Cameron wackos have titles like "Putter Porn." And the thread is just full of photos of all the rare putters, sticks that fetch $5,000 easy. Putter Porn, LOL.

I've run across fake Studio Style, Futura and Newport Detour, but haven't heard of fake studio select models.

Jim I was gonna say the second link would be the one I'd go for mainly because he actaully took pictures of the putter and didn't just use a stock photo. Both sellers seem genuine enough to be honest. I would be careful that the 1st seller isn't waiting for people to buy one from him then ordering it himself from Titleist meaning you would have a lenghty wait. Even though he says he has 7 available I'd ask him if they are actually in stock and ready to ship before pulling the trigger.

LOL, who the heck would fake a Futura! And even more importantly, who the heck would buy it?

I like this one:

RARE NEW SCOTTY CAMERON CATALINA 2007 PUTTER - eBay (item 320264272282 end time Jul-16-08 10:39:17 PDT)

That looks sweet... I like the Catalina's a lot but I like my new J.A.T even better.
