So I had my mind set on picking up a Halo 19 degree hybrid with S300 from my local shop for about $110. Dude was going to let me take it out to CA next month and try it out and return it (for something else with a lower ball flight etc) if I didn't like it. FYI - no courses, ranges open in Northern VT.

I kinda, sorta, accidentally (well not really) just bought a Bridgestone J33 21 degree hybrid (not the air muscle) with NV for $82 shipped. I am a little concerned as I know nothing about this club, except that is more open than a normal hybrid and is for lower cappers. The loft intrigues me, but the 21* J33 is actually .5 inch longer than the 19* Halo.

What's my play here? Should I take the Bridgestone out for a whirl (maybe I can trade it in down in CA for the Halo - there's a Golfsmith there) or should I play dumb and take the negative feedback hit on ebay (prob not a good idea)?

Taken from ESPN's coverage of this week's LPGA tournament:

"Creamer started strong with four birdies on the first six holes, until she hit a hybrid club into the water on the par-3 seventh and made double bogey..."

What the hell? Can't you do that with a 3 iron just as well?

:D

Vt, why not get the Bridgestone and borrow the HALO and then return the HALO if it doesn't work and if it does, sell the Bridgestone? Or will that generate ire in SWMBO?

VT-don't leave the seller hanging. If you really must back out, at least send him like 5 bucks to cover the fees. I'd say get it and trade it in. If they don't want it, give it a whirl. But from a seller's perspective, NPB's are just aggrivating and costly. Please don't go that route

PAID

J33 has been paid for and is on a truck on it's way to VT. It's been super hard to find reviews for this sucka. Maybe I'll post one here when I hit it.

I will sell it to Neal in March.

You can't go wrong with the Bridgestones.
Don't know about the ball flight though...
