So, I just wanted to do something different. Didn't know what it was going to be. First off, I putt lefty and swing right-handed with every other club. Something I picked up in my childhood.

I found a guy on another site who builds clubs and also came up with his own putter design. Here ya go. . .I did add some lead powder, corked it, and put on a new grip. It was a bit light for me at first. I'm enjoying it now!!

It's made of Maple and Walnut

If anyone wants any info or the gentleman's email, let me know. He said it was no problem to give out his email if someone wanted any info on the putters.

The 2 pieces on the top. The way they are configured, it would be deemed illegal weighting.

The futura putter was ruled illegal also at first but then they made the back flange non removeable and it passed, I still don't think it should have but I am sure a little money changed hands and it got thru.

Same deal. You can change the face but not the weight and it is not supposed to have a secondary flange or weight. Once they opened the door it is hard to stop the wierd designs.

Good thing I'm no tour pro. . .Or it would've been a waste!! But I am really starting to hit it well. I struggled with it the first couple rounds.

I don't know if you can clean any carpets or not with it. . .A neighbor that works at my local course asked if I could smoke out of it!! That was funny.

Bummer that it would be illegal. I'll have to look up the rules and regs on putter designs, etc.

These are pretty cool. I wish the pics on this site were better. And, if they weren't 185USD, I'd honestly consider buying one, just for the wow factor!

Obagain; This is Don Fisher, of Fisher Custom, I am the builder of the putter in question. While I have not sent a sample into the USGA for design approval, I have had a dozen golf professionals look at the putter and all of them stated that the design would be legal. One of the golf professionals that looked at my design and tried it out, was non other than David Leadbetter. My personnel putter is even autographed by Mr. Leadbetter. If my design was illegal, I would think the one of the Premier Golf Instructors in the world would have noticed it and said something to me during our meeting.
The two pieces on top are not re-movable nor can they be adjusted in any way. There is nothing different in my design than any number of others on the market at this time. The Crazy model has a circular piece at the back, and it's legal, so why not my design? I will be contacting USGA shortly so I can send one of my putter to them for approval, but I'm not expecting any problems with that. Just a formallity to get it on Tour. If you know of any rule, (the exact wording) that would make my design illegal, I would appreciate it if you could let me know what it is and where I can find it. Yours Truly, Don Fisher, Fisher Custom

As I read it, it seems it would be legal.

The requirement is that to adjust the weight, a special tool would be needed, allen wrench or a screwdriver.

If the weight could be "readily" adjusted, say by using your hand, then it would be illegal.

By looking at the picture, who could tell whether the weights are fixed or not?

Since the builder has told us, now we know.

Thanks for the info Don.
