I had referred to some of Vijay's practice tools in another thread. One that I forgot to mention was his putting 'channel'. On both sides of his putting stroke plane (make sense?) was a netting device about three feet long on each side. The two strips of net (4 inches tall) created a channel by which his putting stroke was supposed to pass. He'd putt the balls from the center of the set-up, making sure not to touch the net on the backswing or follow-through. This whole contraption was used to hit 8 foot putt after 8 foot putt. I'm sure you could set up a similar aide using pencils and some string.

If you're having trouble maintaining a straight back-and-forth stroke with your putter, this may be helpful.

Who said this guy has a decent work ethic?

If Vijay didn't suck so much, i'd put more stock in his practice routine. :D

Who said practice pays off? That's a bunch of bull, and alot of us out there don't have 10 million to prove it!

Practice will help you play better golf. This guy is living proof that if you bust your ass, it pays off.

My friend and I were daydreaming of a time in the future when Tiger has his 'A' game back and goes toe-to-toe with Vijay tournament after tournament. In my opinion, Vijay has established himself as the perfect rival for Tiger. It's unfortunate that Tiger's game has fallen off so much that it's not even an issue.

Agreed. It's funny that when the world's #1 is going off the handle, there's usually no one to step up and take it from him for some time.

Norman, Duval, Tiger and now Vijay. I wonder how long he'll last up top? I think Ernie has the game to take a run, but i still think Vijay has the game to remain on top as long as he wants to, pretty much!

It would be fun if everyone on their A game could play in a tournament togerther such as Tiger, Vijay, Nick Faldo, Fred Couples, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Palmer, Gary Player, Sam Snead. It would be called the tournament of legends and would see lower rounds than 59.
IMHO, the winner would be Ben Hogan as he was undoubtedly the best ball striker.
