I picked up Nippon 950GH's steel shafts for the Mizzy's and I realized I've never pulled a graphite shaft from an iron, anyone have experience here?

From what I'm reading on the inner webs I need a shaft puller, any other tricks or options?

This guy demonstrates how HE does it.

But if you go by what the next guy says, twisting the graphite shaft is not recommended.

I use a heat gun and a shaft puller if I am saving the shafts. Otherwise cut em off and drill out the hosel.

I'm considering keeping them but more than likely not. A shaft puller is $90+ and a decent heat gun is $40+. So $130+. Golf Galaxy will pull the shafts and clean the club heads for $90.

The free option is cut and drill.

What to do???

If I go the cutting route, would a 3/8 drill bit be sufficient for .370 parallel tip?

Or

Should I drill them out an then use a reamer?
