Thought I'd ask the experts here about a new bag. I mostly ride, but would rather have a nice stand bag. Any thoughts on these?:

Ogio Edge or Grom
Bennington Lite Quiet Organizer
Ben Hogan Hawk or Mystique

I'll probably change bags by the end of the year and as of now I'll go with Ogio. I was looking at their website this morning and clicked on buy now. They give a list of online retailers so I started comparing and wow what a difference.

On one bag, the price differed from a low of $149.00 at Golfio to a high of $229.00 at Dicks. Whatever I decide I'm gonna shop for price.

I'd go Ogio Edge, Exo, or Grom, except that I wouldn't get the Edge because I don't like the Hoode rain cover.

The Exo and Grom are pretty similar, a few minor differences. They both have the Torq strap which, thanks to Bravo, I now know how to use. It's great for securing the bag to the cart so that it doesn't twist around during the round. Very functional.

Yes, I've been checking out Ogio on eBay, and one place has Buy It Now for
Grom for $124.95 + $16 shipping, and Edge for $174.95 and free shipping. What do you think of those prices?

Others I have considered are the:
Secure Clubs with SOE, $64.95 + $25
Precise G7, $69.95 + $20
Ay thoughts on these?

Anything has got to be better than my current bag. :) Locally the shops want $200-250 for a decent bag.

Those prices look pretty good on the Ogios but I don't know anything about the others.

Several of the guys here have them, (Ogios) so they'll know for sure if that's a good price.

Someone (fuzzifus?) recently got a wicked price on a Grom. Don't remember what it was, but check his posts.

Also, if you haven't seen the "Hoode" top (used on the Edge), I'd look at it before I bought it, I was glad I did because I didn't like it at all.

For what it's worth, I got my Exo bag for $180 CAD (about $140 or so USD)...could possibly have gotten it cheaper on ebay or something, but with shipping and time, it was worth it to buy it locally for me.

dallasgolf has a buy it now on the Exo for $120 + 11 shipping; that's about the best price I have found. No one locally has any Ogios. :(

Yeah, the place I got mine has them for $129 (Grom) and they were alos having a sale of 20% of all bags, so I ended up around $105 for the bag without taxes, still was a great deal in my book, and I love the bag. I did have to take the first one I bought back because the Zipperless Ball Pouch didn't line up perfectly, but the exchanged it no questions asked, and it seemed to be an isolated thing anyhow as the other 6 groms they had were perfect, I just picked the winner I guess..........

Thanks for the info, Fuzzifus. Too bad your store is about 1800 miles away! :)

I'll keep looking and bidding........

I got the Exo today. Very nice bag, with an over-abundance of pockets. Some are labeled, but I can't imagine that I will ever need all of them.

Has anyone had their Ogio bag "personalized" with their name? I can't see any panels that are removable, so I don't know how embroidery could be done. I'd like to do this more for identification, than for vanity. If anyone has any (helpful) suggestions, I'd live to hear them.

I also have the black and red Exo. I was thinking a nice royal blue would work well...
