Well, i've really done myself in now, as everyone knows, i recently made the switch to blades, and my game is in a slump, kind of expected, but i keep thinking about possibly going back to my supersteels for this season, then i'll have all summer to work with my blades, i know its MY decision,
i just feel i have no advantage with blades, my dad recently puchased a card at our driving range for unlimited balls till april, i figured i'd take both sets and see which one does better, is this a good way to try it, or would separate trips be better,

I feel that my driver and fairway woods are solid, along with my wedges, my putter has been doing well lately, theres just nothing in between.

i also had the thought of going to the local course, ( where i can play all day for 13 bucks, ) and playing rounds with just irons, wedges and putter, and seeing which i shoot lower with, would these be good ways to decide?

thanks

I say stick with what you're comfortable with. If the Steels keep your scores low, throw the blades out.

Golf is so mental that you might as well go with what works. On the other hand, go out and shoot 90 with the blades. Then, work from there. You're not going to drop out of the sky with new clubs shooting the lights out.

Slumps are mental. You just have to wrap your brain around the new sticks.

Patience, grasshopper. The game will come around...

i don't know, anyone who has seen a radar weather image lately has seen that i'm in some deep stuff over here, big freezing rain storm school's already canceled but i won't get to go to the range, darn, i don't know, i just don't seem to get any advantage from the blades, i think i've lost distance, my accuracy is down, i had good distance control with the perfect amount of spin, i was pinpoint, and hitting a good distance, with the extra forgiveness available if i have a lapse, as far as feel, i can't really tell much of a difference, the blades spin too much and get thrown back by the wind, we'll just have to see which one wins here

hey, any thoughts on the BCS game??????

i'll take USC, don't know why but why not

Play what you're most comfortable with. I can only tell you what my experiences have been...

After switching to blades mid-summer, my initial results were not great. After playing them and adjusting, my irons are the absolute stand-out of my game now. Distance is great, contact is immaculate, and they're pretty much point and shoot. Played 18 at Bear Trace Monday in 40 mph gusts and seriously thought I had aced off the tee three times. If the greens had not been moist and overly soft, I may have with normal ball release.

After playing blades, my iron swing is much more pure, much more consistent, and ball control is outrageous. Now, I have a distinct favor to the left with woods and driver, but hey... I'll have to get non-offset to match my blades and maybe it'll all be OK. :) Good luck either way.
