Got a golf buddie who gets all of 175-200 yards out of his drives. he's got a slice but usually plays it nicely down the middle. He plays a regular flex now. What would a senior flex do for him? He wants me to get him a driver and I need to know what to get him. He needs Distance .

Short answer is: get him on a launch monitor. Without it, you're just guessing.

Distance is based on club head speed, club loft, and sweetspot contact.

Straightness or lack thereof :) is based on a square club face at impact and club head path.

It may be he needs a more lofted driver, with a lighter weight shaft, and/or more flex. Or he may just need to learn not to hit a distance killing slice.
