Vt: Get the MP60's - they're sweeeeeeeeeeet ! :)

Dave Dot: That 17 degree Launcher is surely a 4-wood. Have you checked out the length of the shaft on it ?!??

Rock: niiiiiiice !

Everyone: Does anyone know anyone, or know anywhere I can get my mitts on a Miz. 3 or 4-wood avec Graph. Bleu ? Tried to blag Mizuno themselves for one ce apres-midi, but to no avail - they have none of them, whatsoever :(
Is it me, or does their MX series of Fairways look plastic-y ?! :(

Andy,

Why not buy a 001 fairway with the stock shaft and have it fitted with a Blue?

I am going to see almost a total turnover in '06. The only things left to change are my 3-wood and SW. I am most likely going with Snake Eyes stuff on the cheap for them. What I will play with tomorrow:

Tour Edge Exotics 9* w/ Graf Blue 65s
Adams Tight Lies 3-wood 15*
Snake Eyes 653T-H 18* 2-iron Hybrid w/ Rifle 6.0
Snake Eyes 653T-H 21* 3-iron Hybrid w/ Rifle 6.0
Mizuno MP-60 5-PW w/TTDGS300 2* up 1" long
Snake Eyes 600W 52* gap, 2* up, 1" long TTDGS300, Black Oxide
Mizuno MP-series 56* SW, 2up1L,S300
Face Forward 60* Lob Wedge
Odyssey 2-Ball cut to 33"
Ogio Grom bag, Blue.
Bushnell Yardage Pro Laserfinder
Peakvision green-readers

VT, get the MP-60. They are the 32's with perimeter weighting. Sweet.

LOL - lots of MP60 fans huh.

I think I'll save my 600 bucks, and try the MP30's. I kinda want to try this iron anyways, it's supposed to launch the ball much lower than the cut muscle design, and be more workable. The only drawback is it will be less forgiving. I know that sounds strange for a CB to be less forgiving, but it seems to be universally accepted that Mizunos players series of forgings rank:

MP60
MP32
MP33
MP30
MP37

for forgiveness. Throw the 14's and 29's in there at about the same level as the 37's. I have hit a grand total of 1 mizuno iron (MP33) I found them to be moderately forgiving compared to other blade designs I've hit. I'll report back on the 30's when OB gets them to me.

One simple reason why, mate: money !

Could pick up said club for maybe 60/70 quid our money in v.good nick, though it'll cost me 55/60 to buy a Graph. Blue shaft, fit it myself in my own working time (not be totally appreciated), then a grip for a few pound on top of it. All equates to a lot of time & money, man. Were a good few on ebay in recent times there, although one doesn't seem to have cropped up in the past week or three...:(

And why not - they're about the nicest looking iron ever !

You diss the MP60, yet want to TRY the Mp30's. I find that big time strange, considering that the MP60's are a similar mould to the MP30's, but with obvious advancements in technology.

And with ref. to your comments on them being the easiest to hit of the bunch, I would like to catogorically state that it wouldn't matter what irons I hit, I would still be hitting them out of the middle of the bat. I am choosing the MP60's because of how superb they look & feel, not on the grounds that they are easier to hit that owt else.

I don't recall dissing the MP-60s. Just stated that there were lots of fans of them. I'd try them if they were a few years older and less expensive. I think they look fine, not as nice as the 32's or 37's, but definitely a playable looking iron.
