Well the pimpmeister aka Irishgolfer after taking a severe beating in the sartorial elegance stakes on his home course in May by yours truly, came out fighting on the New Course Headfort last Monday. He donned this ensemble scored from the wardrobe set of Magnum PI in a job lot on eBay. Kilted was asked to pose in the pic to give greater definition to IG's vibrancy....

Dave was drooling at this shirt photo op. He had the camera out quicker than a Japanese tourist in London. My morning shirt was more Jasper'ish. This one was for a laugh!

This is a quick clip of IG teeing off on the 1st in the afternoon. This is a cracking opening hole, around 380 yards dogleg left. Ideal shot was the big chestnut tree at the corner of dogleg to leave PW/9I in. To put things in context, we played the Old Course in the morning, which was a delightful parkland course, full of individual mature oak trees with wide fairways and very little trouble (only 1 lost ball in the 3ball for the morning, and he wasn't Irish ) If you then factor in a nice light lunch washed down with a few pint glasses, the fairway surrounded by the tall trees looked as tight as a mouses ear, anyway himself stood up and boomed a lovely drive 280 or so.

Looks a bit blurred, I like the streak effect of the shirt. Wearing it gave me a few extra shots in the pm over you guys. The dazzle effect!!

This is a pic of KA, taken on a shortish par 4, but it was a low index hole. Reason for the low index became apparent. The green was tear dropped shaped with the river biting in front, right and back. The drop into the water behind KA is about the same height as the drop from the bridge in the background. Ladies and germs he did it all without the aid of a safety net. Tho in saying that, I had him pose like that for 15 mins or so, just in case there was something worth posting into "The world's funniest home movies", don't knock it .. money is money ... would've paid for the dry cleaning bill too ... and there's you lot thinking I'm heartless ..

I've never seen such concentration over a shot before. The head kept mighty still. Any lateral sway from KA would have ended up with him in the aqua and we would have had a wet Arab!

Good work Dave, those are nice pics and videos. Too bad KA couldn't have given us a little more entertainment though. That would've been a permanent sticky in the Hacker's forum for sure. :sc:

Knowing it was all uphill from there, Dave pulled a De Niro'esque pose and started gesticulating to himself. I can only imagine the conversation in Dave De Niro's mind...

"What the hell is this?
"I never hit that shot"
"Have you seen me hit that shot?"
"This is terrible, I can't belive I hit that shot, what the hell is wrong with me"
"100 yards to the pin and I hit that shot, that's just crazy"...

5 minutes of this. Kilted and I thought he was going to pull out a shoota.

I guarantee you, if a Hollywood scout had been there Dave would have been signed up for the next version of the Godfather. Next stop the Oscars.

So mix that up with his Ballesteros pose and hand-waving, it adds to the quality of the day to be playing with Dave Ireland.

Personally speaking I can't see the humor ... tho then again if it wasn't aimed at me I'd be rolling in the aisles ...here's hoping there's a big turn out at Bravo's gig next Spring = plenty of ammunition
