Yup. Pretty much a done deal I'd say. Pavin is going to ask him and he said he will accept.

Stop press, Pavin has now said (via Twitter?) that he said no such thing about the Tiger pick and that he would not announce picks till 7th Sept.
If those pictures of Monty are made public... and show up on ShotTalk... they need posted under WBL's thread "Getting Excited Now!!"And man...I hope that Monty rumor is just that....a rumor. If there's one thing in this world I really don't wanna see....
Monty has admitted to having an affair with his neighbour, and to quote the story regarding what kind of pictures, "Rumour is full on gimp mask, rubber ball in the mouth, whips, dog collar and dominatrix."
IMO, if Tiger doesnt get his game turned around and play well enough to earn a spot on the team, he shouldnt be the captain's pick. Unless his play improves, he isnt going to be any help to the team.
While I agree with you, his level of play in this case is almost irrelevant. Pavin HAS to at least offer him a spot on the team. If he doesn't and loses he will be raosted in the media almost as much as Jean Van De Velde.
I disagree. I would think that knowledgable reporters would understand the reasoning behind not picking TW. It's almost as if Pavin is in a no-win situation. Offer a player that's clearly struggling a spot, and lose....he will be criticized. I guess the only thing to do, no matter who's on the team, is to go kick some Euro-ass in Oct, eh?
