Stuart Scott passed away today. I remember when he started at ESPN, I was a sophmore in HS, and I can still hear him saying "Boo yeah!!!" or "He's as cool as the other side of the pillow."

I happened to be watching NFL countdown today when they ran this piece on him. I must admit, I kept it together until they started talking about his girls. As the father of a daughter, his love for his kids hit me hard. I teared up a bit. Watch this video, so good about somebody I feel like I grew up with. Sounds lame I know, but guys my generation didn't have Walter Kronkite. We had guys like Stuart Scott. His speech at the ESPYs is as moving as Valvano's to me.

I had the same reaction, cancer sucks but Stuart fought it like a warrior. He truly changed sportscasting and will be missed. RIP Stuart, stay as cool as the other side of the pillow! Boo yah!
