I have reserved a 1030 hours tee time at Applewood Golf Course, in Keysville, GA, which is a 30 minute drive south of Augusta. My friend Charles (the former Augusta National caddie) and I will be stalking the wild asparagus, creating gigantic divots and drinking copious quantities of muscle relaxant, otherwise known as beer.

The weather today was cloudy and 72F, but there is a cold front moving through, so the forecast for Sunday is clear and low 60s. :)

Playing Sunday at Sedona Golf Resort. I've pretty much written off the rest of the year up here in the Poconos as there are very few courses that stay open after Thanksgiving. So our golf trip to Arizona may be the last hurrah, unless I travel south.

My wife and I are going to try and get in 4-5 rounds this upcoming week.

I never play on weekends unless there's only about two hours of daylight left. I refuse to tolerate the 5+ hour round. Hell, these days, I'm pissed if the round lasts more than 4 hours.

I'll prolly play somewhere this weekend. Then my three sons & I will play together over Thanksgiving, It's always a hoot & I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm also trying to hook up with a couple of other guys from GR. Anyone from Dallas area interested?

We might actually get some decent weather in this weekend, so I might take some time off from studying and get a round in if I can.

Lamma, I'll be in your neck of the woods in 3 weeks.

Flying across country on Thurs evening get into Ont CA at 11:30pm, 2 rounds each on Fri and Sat and an afternoon round on Sunday and then flying back to VT at midnight on Sunday.

I'm a little concerned about getting the golf in, if the rounds take 5 hours like you said.

I'll play either Saturday or Sunday. Played 9 last night with temps in the upper 50s but it's suppose to be back in the 70s this weekend.

Mt last round at Forest Hills lasted 4 & 1/2 hours, because the 4some in front of us did not play ready golf. After the 7th hole I was ready to start hitting into them, but the lady sales rep held me back. :)

Seriously, 4 young guys, none of whom could play very well, all taking turns on the green, squatting down, plumb bobbing, getting up, walking to the other side, squatting down, plumb bobbing again, standing over the ball, stroking the putt, missing the putt, and then starting the process all over again.......

JUST HIT THE FECKIN' BALL!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, this weekend at Applewood will be less crowded, as it is a good 30 minute drive out of town. And they DO have a beer cart girl, which Forest Hills does not. :)

Dave, what kind of gloves do you wear in temps like that, and do you wear 2 of them? I may need to buy some.
