Anyone else here get sore hands after playing golf. This may be a strange thing to say but the area of 'webbing' between my left thumb and index finger is killing me. Why??
I don't wear any glove, and don't have any sore hands.
What is your grip?
As Bravo says, hold the club not too tight, just tight enough so the club doesn't slip off...
I have a friend that has the same problem. Always sore. He thinks power comes from a strong grip, which it does, but not so strong that toothpaste is coming out the end of the grip.
Hogan once said that your grip should be the same on your club as it would be if you were holding a baby bird.
Try it at the range. You'll be surprised at the results.
Try squeezing the club as tight as you can, as soon as you relax them start your swing. If that dosen't help you should switch to winn grips or some other soft type grip.
When you hold too tight and hit towards the toe, the club will torque and that is probably what is causing the pain.
You should also work on moving the club from your palm to your fingers. Just because your fingers are on the clubdosn't mean the club is in your fingers, the shaft should not be in your palm. If your glove wears out high on the palm you are holding it wrong.
